[Fw_Os_Forum] can uefi write to adrive attached to a computer ?

Hello everybody,

I'm new of this forum. I hope you can assist me to understand my doubts. So I'm contacting you to pose the following question.

Imagine to attach a usb memory stick or a Sata hot plugging Hard disk to a computer while it is turn on and the O.S has taken the whole control af it.
Can UEFI/BIOS write implicitly (that is whitout an explicit command from a user) to a drive attached to a computer (in particular can it interact with the drive's filesystem and write to it). 

Please can you reply me also with examples if possible.
